Sign-up for the Summer Reading program opens Monday morning at the front desk. The theme this year involves detectives, which we suspect will be popular in this town, and the reading logs come with the good stickers again.
The program is free, runs through August, and ends with the ice cream party in the reading garden. Spots fill fast — last summer we had a waiting list by Wednesday, and the front desk would like everyone to know she takes no pleasure in maintaining a waiting list. Almost no pleasure.
